This weekend, Pilot Reach was out at Airplanes and Coffee at KTRL, just trying to do one thing—make aviation feel a little more real and a lot more approachable.
We talked with a ton of kids, students, and families, answering questions and just having normal conversations about flying. For a lot of them, it was their first real exposure to aviation, and you could see it click as they realized becoming a pilot is actually possible.
We also got people up in the air with discovery flights, which was easily the best part of the day. Sitting in the cockpit and actually taking off changes everything. For some people, that was the moment it stopped being just an idea and started feeling real.
We gave away some Pilot Reach gear as well, which added some fun to the event, but more than anything it helped people feel like they were part of it.
At the end of the day, that’s what Pilot Reach is about—giving people access, building confidence, and helping them take that first step into aviation
